The Palomar StarLux® pulsed light system is emerging as a photofacial system with power that surpasses other pulsed light systems. One of several applications possible with the StarLux® consists of the treatment of vascular lesions and brown spots of the face, neck, chest, arms, and other large areas. The unique cooling feature, which chills the handpiece’s sapphire treatment tips, allows the delivery of high energy pulses while providing maximum comfort and safety to the patient.
The StarLux® System is designed to effectively treat lesions such as telangiectasia, rosacea, spider veins, cherry angiomas, freckles, and sun spots. Usually 2-3 treatments are indicated for substantial improvement of these conditions. In the case of rosacea, sometimes a yearly maintenance treatment is needed to preserve the results.
