Russell J. Saloom, M.D., is board certified in ophthalmology, and fellowship trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. This unique combination of certifications, along with a doctorate in medicine, enhances his expertise in structural facial surgery. There are only seven surgeons with such credentials in Louisiana.

A graduate of LSU School of Medicine, Dr. Saloom completed his residency at the LSU Eye Center. He then received fellowship training in eye and facial plastic surgery at the Tulane University Medical Center and serves as a clinical instructor with that institution. He has been in private practice in Baton Rouge Since 1990.

Dr. Saloom was the first physician in the Gulf South United States to perform laser skin resurfacing. He works with several of the world's largest medical laser companies to instruct and certify hundreds of physicians from across the United Sates in laser resurfacing and laser surgical technique. He was also one of the first eight physicians in the United States to offer the Epi Laser for hair removal. Dr. Saloom serves as a national instructor to physicians on laser hair removal.

Laura Lindsey, OA has been involved in patient care since 1985. Her background is enriched by her years of experience in the medical and surgical aspects of ophthalmology. Her interests are the evaluation and care of the surgical patient, with special emphasis on aesthetic procedures and laser treatment.

Michelle Manix, COA has worked with Dr. Saloom for more than 10 years. She received training in the field of medical assisting and has been involved in patient care since her graduation in 1993. Her areas of interest include surgery assisting, advanced laser techniques, and aesthetic consultations.

Agnes Sprague, PCC When Agnes Sprague became a member of our staff, she brought with her seven years of insurance benefits coordination. Agnes most recently worked for Per-Se Technologies, a medical billing agency for various medical professionals. She is very knowledgeable about insurance payments and is happy to assist you with your account matters.

Laura D. Saloom, B.A. has been involved in patient care with Dr. Saloom and Premier Laser Center, with special interest in surgical assisting, advanced laser procedures and patient care.
